Joomla! tag cloud module v0.5 beta
Written by Andy Sharman Saturday, 06 March 2010 20:18
I've had a lot of good feedback on this module so didn't want to dissapoint and let it float off into that pile of projects which doesn't get touched. Based on feedback through the comments on v0.4 beta tag cloud I have rectified the following issues, and hopefully we should be close to exiting beta!
Joomla! admin template - jQuery Desktop v0.9 beta
Written by Andy Sharman Saturday, 27 February 2010 12:36
Such popular demand on this opensource jQuery desktop template has caused me to create a section specifically for publicising the jQuery desktop template for the Joomla admin panel. I have amended the admin template issues which have been reported through the comments system on the previous post for joomla admin template v0.8 beta If possible I would appreciate any bugs to be posted in the forum for the admin template. Comments of suggestions/praise/hate are still welcome of course, but if bug fixes could be posted in the forums I'll find it easier to repair them quicker. Screenshots of the jQuery desktop admin template are here
Free Joomla Admin Template (jQuery Desktop)

I mentioned a while back I was working on a desktop template and I decided instead of just releasing the template as a .html file for all to use how they wanted (which you still can simply by downloading the files from the desktop demo), I have made it into a joomla administrator template which is free for anyone to use and released under GNU/GPL 2 licence.
The joomla admin template is using jquery and gives a nice desktop feel similiar to that of a mac. I am running beta on this template so please be patient during updates. I have found it to be stable and running well in Safari 4.x and Firefox 3.x and it 'works' in IE8, do not ask me to make the template run in IE7 or IE6 I won't be supporting legacy browsers on this project.
Automated Joomla tag cloud module

When working on Joomla websites it is often that people would prefer it to be able to provide a more Wordpress like blog feel when it is being used as a blog, one of these things is the widgets panel in the sidebar. Tag clouds are often used to give a bump in SEO and also to help the user get a good idea of what content the website contains. When looking through the joomla extensions I came across a few half-hearted attempts at tag clouds which involved you manually turning off/on words you wouldn't want in the cloud.
Simple Google Analytics Joomla Module
Written by Andy Sharman Saturday, 09 January 2010 00:10
On an almost weekly basis at work a Google Analytics for a Joomla installation needs to be applied, now I'm very aware that we can just place it directly into the template file, however it is much more user friendly and easier to use to have a simple Google Analytics module so we can easily apply google analytics to existing joomla installations as well as new ones.
