Well, it's been a long time coming but I feel that udja comments for Joomla 1.6 and Joomla 1.7 is now ready to be released under a stable status for everyone to download and upgrade from immediately.

Security Fixes

  • XSS exsploit when entering website for comments

  • Bug where content auto-spammed itself
  • Bug with category filter not working
  • Error with development environments housing Joomla in a subdirectory

Future development timeline for Udja Comments

Ok, it's me again. Finaly I get the solution myself : I didn't know that I need to put a key and to go the recaptcha website to obtain it. Perhap's it will be great to have a explaination on the dialog box, for the newbees...

      Thank's for all

First of all: thanks for your application, as it is just what i needed. The only issue is that I can´t make work the translation to spanish (I have switched it in the module form but it doesn´t work). Is there any bug or do you know anything about it?

Recaptcha is not working for me and I had to disable until I find a fix. The site I have installed on is on a subdomain and I was wondering if that might be the problem. My only other complaint is that the comment form does not show unless the user clicks a link. Anyway to fix that?

Hi MJ. do you have installed a plugin like "Joo reCaptcha"?
If one system plugin like 'Joo reCaptcha' installed on your site, it will disable the reCaptcha of Udja Comments. I report it to Andy and he is working on it...

I needed a comments extension that formed a strong foundation for me to add modifications to suit the unique requirements of my client. Udja Comments is that extension. Really understandable and sensible code made it easy for me to add the features I wanted.
    Thanks Andy.

I tried to beer you but I got an error, will try again later.
