Joomla1.6 Sharethis plugin

Recently I needed a ShareThis plugin for Joomla 1.6 only to find that the only decent one wasn't free and involved installing components, modules and plugins to get it working. I was not impressed by this and decided to convert a ShareThis module I wrote for Joomla 1.5 to a plugin for articles content.

This ShareThis plugin is released under the GNU/GPL licence, and as all of my extensions isusing the Joomla Framework rather than "hacking through" to get the results I want. I have deliberately kept the plugin simple so it is easy to manage and use for developers and beginners alike.

Feature List:

2. Filtering by categories
3. Category recursion for filtering
4. Choose to display the sharethis button on certain views such as "article" or "feature"
5. The type of button to display "basic", "chicklet with count" or "chicklets"
6. The position of the button in relation to the article content "above", "after title" and "after content"
