Joomla! 1.6 Alpha release

As you all know I have done quite a bit of Joomla! development as well as Wordpress and a bit of Drupal and during so I have made quite a few Joomla! components, and modules including a released version of my Joomla! flickr feed which has proved very popular.

Anyway I was having a google looking for Joomla! 1.6 and perhaps some kind of preview as to when it will be released, or atleast an idea of some beta phases for joomla 1.6, anyway I came across a link to a download page of Joomla 1.6 which is an alpha release, It is by no means stable, and has lots of bugs but if you are interested in checking it out in its current state then I have a copy here as the version I originally downloaded from now gives a 404 error page. So attached here is Joomla 1.6, I cannot stress enough that it isn't stable, DO NOT replace your current 1.5 version with it, it is only for a sneak preview purpose only. Additionally you will need PHP 5.2+ as I found out during installation process it used json_decode which is 5.2+ function.
