Because the old forum software wasn't upgradeable to Joomla 1.7 I have used new software and porting over the data unfortunately wasn't worth the hassle. Please accept my apologies and re-post any unsolved posts!

27.01.2012 21:40Manifest file name and Joomla 2.5.0Just discovered a small gotcha in Joomla 2.5.0. Seems like the manifest file has to be named component.xml without the preceeding 'com_'. Otherwise in the Extensions Manager 'Manage tab' it cannot find the manifest file. I renamed the manifest file from com_udjacomments.xml to udjacomments.xml and the error is resolved. I have not tried installing anew in Joomla 2.5.0. |

31.01.2012 01:52 Re: Manifest file name and Joomla 2.5.0 I bit the bullet and upgraded to Joomla 2.5. I have had no problems with UdjaComments other than the small one I raised earlier which is easily fixed by the rename of teh manifest file. [com_udjacomments.xml to udjacomments.xml].If you are interested in my 2.5 experiences see this link: http://macrotoneconsulting.co.uk/index.php/Blog/joomla-250-upgrade-details.html#frmUdjaComments It wasn't pain free but not too difficult. Still a small problem with JCE (and MCE) editors though. I suggest you try it on a test site first. Geoff |
